Lake Charles Engagement Photographer

One of the biggest things as a lake charles engagement photographer I have seen drop over the past five years, especially as social media became larger and larger, is blog comments. Most people see an image on Facebook or Instagram and pass it up. Some might heart or like it. If you are really lucky you might get a social media comment. But since so many images and posts are thrown at us every single day, our attention span has become shorter and shorter. We all know we are guilty of it.

Lessons on Lake Charles Engagement Photographer

So take the time to comment here and there. Maybe you come across a feature your friend photographed, or just a session you thought was amazing. Trust me Lake Charles Engagement Photographer, not only will taking literally 30 seconds to post something nice be noticed by the curator, but it will also make the day of that photographer and support the community, not to mention create a link back to your website!!

What to look for in an engagement photographer.

Another example, and something I see a lot, is submissions including around 7-10 images of five different looks. Again, if you look through Belle Lumière most of our features stick to one look. There might be a few here or there that include two, but this is rare. A lot of these shoots are truly stunning, but with only 10 images included per look, I never feel like I have enough for a feature. If this was a trait this pho-tographer noticed on our blog before they submitted they could have taken out the other looks and only included one or two looks. This would have given me more images to work with from a single look and a better chance of having their work selected.

      LOOM

“When we eliminate the need to control, what do we see? What can we capture?”
      -Ginny Au

The Way We See / the WORLD

Loom is the name given to this style of shooting. It represents the organic way we capture our images and is designed to take the awkwardness out of posing. It allows for a true representation of how our clients feel and communicate, not just what they look like.

We build a space for you to move freely in. Guided by our suggestions we watch the events unfold. We don't interact or interrupt, just document the natural you.

It takes all the pressure off you by letting you move freely, with no expectations on what you "should" do.

      'studio'

"YOU CAN DO NO WRONG" -- THAT'S THE FIRST THING WE TELL ALL OUR CLIENTS. WHEN YOU AREN'T WORRIED ABOUT MESSING UP, YOU CAN RELAX AND ENJOY

We find what each couple enjoys doing together. Then base the shoots around that. We place them in the middle of a thought out a scene and let them interact with each other naturally.

Working with couples who see our time together as an opportunity to create art completely inspires me. Some of our favorite images have come out of a mutual desire to experiment in the moment.

The art of photography aims to capture raw emotions and movement as they naturally unfold. For most clients, it is nerve awakening to stand in front of a stranger and their camera. More than often, a human’s natural reaction becomes introverted shyness. A well educated, experienced photographer becomes an investment when they are able to offer a place of comfort during photography sessions. Emily & Euric are well versed in their craft and create an environment where their client feels secure to be themselves.
